Every dish is prepared and cooked from fresh local produce, including children's meals. We have all our meat from local butchers, Skinners butchers,all the steaks are 28 day matured, and our fillets are the best cut available, tournados. We get many compliments on these.Our fresh veg delivered 3 times a week from Boston and Kirklington, and our fish from Grimsby.

We serve all the traditional pub meals plus an a la carte menu inspired by our chef /landlord who has won awards for his cooking (Food pub of the year 2006 and 2007).

We are happy to cater for Lactose and Gluten intolerance and our chef has separate preparation areas for both.Our Gluten free range is expanding, we can now do pate and toast(preorder req) breaded scampi, breaded brie, sausages and mash gravy.Chocolate caramel slice for dessert.subject to availability.

Veggie dishes are also growing, brie and mushroom wellington, mushroom stroganoff, veggie sausages gravy, we have special blackboard purely for veggie and gluten meals.

There are  smaller portions available, for young and old alike, as we can serve some meals on our menu half size for half price.

Weddings, birthdays, funerals, or just a get together can be catered for, in and out of opening hours

Separate dining room can be exclusive to your party, with bespoke menu's if required. We have done a £10,£14 and £18 per head menu recently, with great success.

Sunday Lunch not to be missed - please book your table to avoid waiting. We have the finest sirloin beef striploin, which our trained chef cuts for our steaks, and also uses for the sunday roast, plus a choice of gammon, pork turkey etc, and our GIANT homemade yorkshire puddings are never matched in size anywhere!  Adult £10.25  Child £7.95


 

We even do take away fish, chips, scampi, whitebait, etc for people who are just passing through or local villagers who have no other outlet
